Abstract

The Lumière brothers, born in France in the 1860's, were two brothers that were pioneers in early film making. Through the use of one of their inventions, their own version of the cinématographe, they were some of the first individuals to create a motion picture. They made several films that were very famous in France during that time. In addition to making films, they were also inventors and invented several important pieces that helped advance filmmaking and photography.
