Abstract

It has been estimated that in 2017, 1.2 trillion photographic images were recorded worldwide. In a sea of images, what sets apart a great image from a simple snapshot? As an artist and a photographer, there are countless variables that come into play when I am taking a photograph. Mind set, angles, depth of fields, exposures, shutter speed, and which lens to use all factor into a final image. There is so much more then just pressing the shutter release and hoping to capture a moment in time. In my presentation, I will explain to you what makes a good sports photograph and what makes a great iconic sports photograph.
