Abstract
Wellness programs and biometric screenings are becoming an effective and popular method of preserving health of employees and lowering healthcare cost. United States health care cost have increased monumentally and are directly proportional to chronic disease prevalence. Wellness programs and biometric screenings are providing a remedy for reducing healthcare cost. This article aims to describe the importance of wellness programs and biometric screenings in reducing healthcare cost. Wellness program and biometric screenings are directly linked to early identification of disease and lifestyle modification; which lead to over health care cost by changing high risk behaviors and early disease intervention.
