Abstract
This article explores the growing trend of osteoarthritis (OA) treatment with Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM). Globally, OA is one of the most common degenerative diseases affecting adults. Conventional medical treatment options vary from pharmacotherapy to surgery. However, many providers prefer a nonsurgical, holistic approach. Studies have been conducted that support the use of CAM health approaches to ameliorate or modify disease symptoms. This article will review the current state of the evidence regarding the use of CAM in the treatment of OA.
