Abstract
Shared decision making is key when discussing complementary and alternative methods used to treat estrogen positive, progesterone positive & HER2 positive, invasive ductal carcinoma in the patient who is reluctant to follow current standard of care options. This article provides a brief overview of the use of specific essential oils and its benefits as an adjunctive therapy to breast cancer as well as discuss current evidence based medicine guidelines.
