Objective: This review is an investigation of how Aripiprazole (Abilify) compares with other antipsychotics in tic alleviation of patients with a clinical diagnosis of Tourette’s Disorder (TD).
Design: The design is literature review.
Methods: Keywords: “Aripiprazole Tourette’s”. Done on PubMed, Cochrane, and TRIP
Results: There were three studies which met criteria for analysis; Sallee et al1, Lyon et al2 and Zheng et al3.
Conclusion: The systematic review further validates the use of Aripiprazole in the management of tics. Sallee et al1matches it against placebo, and determines the safe and effective dose while Lyon et al2adds patients with comorbidities (OCD+tics, ADHD+tics,) to the cohort
