Abstract
The purpose of this article is to evaluate whether or not tying reimbursement to performance scores leads to better patient care. Clinicians are encouraged to practice evidenced-based medicine for every patient; however, it becomes concerning when patients do not always fit into the “typical” course and clinicians now have to make care decisions based on the average patient affecting reimbursement.
