Abstract
ABSTRACT
Purpose: The purpose of this article is to review the application of chaos theory to medicine.
Method: A PubMed literature search was conducted with search terms chaos theory and medicine, chaos theory and healthcare, nonlinear dynamics and medicine, nonlinear dynamics and healthcare. Twenty-three pertinent articles were retrieved, and they serve as the basis for this clinical review.
Results: A search of the literature demonstrates applications and contributions of chaos theory to evidence-based research.1-23
Conclusion: The use of chaos theory allows improved modeling, prediction and results in evidence-based medicine compared to the use of linear dynamics.
