Abstract
This is a case of tethered cord syndrome (TCS) in an 8-year-old boy who presented with abdominal pain and swelling with urinary retention. After confirming the diagnosis with radiologic imaging, he underwent surgical untethering. His history of pervasive developmental delay (PDD) complicated the clinical picture in terms of identifying the associated bowel and bladder symptoms at the time of onset.
