Abstract
Tick-borne diseases are becoming more common in the United States. Having knowledge of common ticks and possible diseases should assist providers in diagnosing tick-borne diseases. Due to the vague constitutional symptoms, it is important for providers to recognize and properly treat tick-borne diseases. There are presenting laboratory findings along with specific testing that can be done for effective diagnosing. Treatment should be started empirically for some tick-borne diseases depending on the severity of illness or comorbidities.
