Abstract
Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) is an emerging adjunct to the physical exam. It plays an important role in the rapid diagnosis of undifferentiated shock at the bedside. The Rapid Ultrasound in Shock (RUSH) exam is a POCUS examination that systematically assesses the major causes of shock. This aids the physical examination and other objective testing to more quickly determine the etiology of shock and initiate appropriate resuscitation.
