Abstract
Perception of post graduate education and fellowship for Physician Assistants vary and widespread standardization of programs is lacking. Research suggests some positive outcomes including high ratings in overall skills from employers, as well as ease of hiring and onboarding following post graduate education. In addition, job satisfaction reported by those who have completed post graduate education appears to be higher than those who do not. Postgraduate education and fellowship for Physician Assistants is utilized across varying specialties as a transition to practice following Physician Assistant school. Further research is necessary around utilization of fellowship, standardization of programs, perceptions and outcomes.
