Abstract
Antibiotic resistance is a growing public health concern that affects people of all ages and has widespread effects on healthcare. When antibiotics lose their effectiveness, it makes treating infections and keeping infection spread under control more difficult. The growing rate of antibiotic resistance is a global health concern. Learning more about antibiotic stewardship and infection control will provide better information to practitioners in understanding treatment guidelines and recommendations and promote better patient education resources in order to combat this public health crisis. There have been several strategies proposed in recent years in order to combat growing rates of antibiotic resistance; however, further research is needed to establish definitive guidelines for antibiotic stewardship moving forward.
