Abstract

The purpose of this article is to review the different treatments that are available to patients with hidradenitis suppurativa and discuss the particulars of the case study. A PubMed search was conducted using the terms hidradenitis suppurativa and treatments with the full-text filter applied. The search initially provided 2,024 articles. When the filters of systemic reviews in the last 5 years were applied, it retrieved 55 articles, from which the necessary research was obtained. Few treatments are used on-label for the treatment of hidradenitis suppurativa. Further studies are necessary to find good treatments that work well for these patients. This case study will offer a glimpse into the efficacy of infliximab infusion for the treatment of hidradenitis suppurativa. More studies are needed to have better options for these patients.
