Abstract
Once an uncommon modality for patient visits, telemedicine has gained traction and is used now, with high levels of satisfaction, for patient appointments. Given the visual nature of dermatology, it would be reasonable for a dermatology provider to incorporate synchronous telemedicine appointments into a clinic schedule. However, literature review has shown both patients and providers expressing areas of dissatisfaction with some components of these visits. Understanding points of both satisfaction and dissatisfaction may help guide a dermatology provider when implementing telemedicine for patient appointments.
