Introduction
This special issue of the Journal consists of a series of manuscripts written under the supervision of guest editor, Dr Michael Wehmeyer. The authors of the papers are doctoral students at the University Of Kansas Department of Special Education as part of their involvement in a seminar focusing on self-determination and its application in the educational context. The papers discuss various components of self-determination (e.g., choice making, problem solving, autonomous functioning).
