Abstract

Thomas Edison made vast strides in the field of technology not only for the United States, but for the rest of the world. Edison traveled to Paris in 1889 for the Universelle Exposition, in which he unveiled his newly modified phonograph. While people traveled from all parts of the world to see such a wonder, Edison could not have imagined what his invention would spark.
