Remnants

Abstract

This photo essay is an effort to capture how we navigate death and loss through the things left behind by our loved ones. The photos included here are of items from my home that were integral to my grandmother Patricia's life. As I walked through the house, I began to see these things for what they were: mementos. No matter how we say goodbye to the dead and how long we choose to mourn after that time has passed, these things remain.
