Abstract
The Bonner Leader Program is a selective, four-year civic leadership development initiative that engages students in meaningful service while providing scholarships and fostering community engagement. Within the program, students have the opportunity to step into internship positions to assist with program management and mentor other Bonners. This year, I had the opportunity to serve as the recruitment intern. Each year the number of interns, and therefore their roles, shift. To address the continual shifts and ensure continuity in task completion, I created a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for future interns who will be responsible for recruitment tasks. This SOP provides a clear, step-by-step guide outlining responsibilities and the appropriate time frame for completing each task. In addition to this I have updated the Bonner Intern Handbook for interns to make it better suited and personalized for the University of Lynchburg's Bonner Program to benefit current and future Bonner interns alike.
