Abstract
By performing an analysis of the past ten years of the population of the European football transfer market, I examined how the pandemic has affected the movement of players between teams. Teams in each league are divided into the groups of top, mid-table, and bottom all sorted by average table position over the last five years. Transfer expenditure of each group is evaluated by making a prediction for what spending in 2020/21 would be without COVID-19 as a factor and compared to the actual spending by group demonstrating the differences in each league.
