Abstract
This study is intended to document and give context behind the current population of conservatory teachers. In order to aid the research of perspective students who are descended from the Galamian/DeLay pedagogy, this study surveyed 15 of the top rate American universities for teachers who teach from the Galamian/DeLay methodology. A list was created of the descendants who currently are employed by the selected schools as private violin instructors and are descended from Galamian and/or DeLay.
