Abstract
This study aims to explore whether or not police officers portray a high or low tolerance for corruption in their field. Research is collected by using data gathered via an eleven-question survey sent out to thirty separate police agencies around the United States. The main purpose of this study is to determine, using this survey and various other sources, what police officers consider to be corrupt and what types of consequences that they would receive for these actions, to be too harsh. The objective of these findings is to show if there is a pattern relating to how police officers think and behave or if the answers vary depending on the location of the precinct. The findings from the survey will help show whether there is a significance with how police collectively view corrupt behavior made by their peers and how the answers vary by location of precincts.
