About This Journal

Lynchburg JMS is a peer-reviewed clinical journal supported by the University of Lynchburg, School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Doctor of Medical Science program, and the Knight-Capron Library. The mission of the JMS is to support the ongoing education and advancement of physician associates/assistants (PAs) and other healthcare professionals by publishing current information and research on clinical, health policy, and professional issues. The journal focuses on doctoral-trained PAs and encourages the submission of doctoral-level projects from other doctoral health professions programs, with a focus on medicine and health science.

Published quarterly, JMS digital platform may include:

  • Clinical review articles
  • Case reports
  • Original health services research
  • Articles on issues of professional interest to PAs and other healthcare professionals

JMS will be available on https://digitalshowcase.lynchburg.edu/jms/, where archival issues and online content will be available. The website will include links to a range of online resources useful to authors. Instructions for authors will be found on the website.
