Abstract
Food for Thought is a non-profit formed through Parkview community mission that focuses on solving the problem of malnutrition of children in the Lynchburg school systems. This program distributes around 800 bags a week to local schools and provides college pantries on different local college campuses. Bags have to have enough food to provide breakfast, lunch and dinner over the weekends and over school breaks. I worked to regulate healthy items into bags so that the students could be better nourished. This helped keep the children's bodies function to the best ability son that they can succeed.
Faculty Mentor(s)
